5th Annual Run for Fundz

Plew Parent Leaders Association, Inc. is seeking corporate sponsors for our 5^th Annual Run for Fundz, to be held October 14, 2015.  Run for Fundz is our largest fundraiser of the year and it emphasizes fun, fitness, and positive character traits. This effort is coordinated and completely run by parent volunteers, so all funds generated directly benefit the students of Plew Elementary.  The Plew PLA raises funds for each classroom, and each grade level in addition to providing funds for the media center, physical education department, art, music, literacy department, beautification of our grounds and all of the other programs supported annually by the PLA. Just last year we gave $15,000 straight to the classrooms and over $16,000 towards new sunshades on our playground. With additional proceeds, we strive to enhance Plew Elementary each year.

We kick off the fundraiser with a pep rally, to be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015, and encourage students to ask for Donations from friends and family. We discuss character traits daily with the students and tally donations in order to reward students right away.  We then culminate with a 2-mile fun run for the students. Each student, regardless of the ability to get donations, receives a Plew Run for Fundz 2015 t-shirt to wear for the run. Each class is rewarded with a 10% extra bonus of the monies collected on time.

We are seeking corporate sponsors to help defray the cost of the prizes and the t-shirts.  All donations are tax-deductible since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Certificate#85-8013447566C-3).  Each corporate sponsor donating $100 or more will be recognized on the electronic marquee and the Plew website during the duration of the fundraiser and will have their logo placed on our Run for Fundz Corporate Sponsor banner which will hang along the Plew fence line on Plew Panther Way year round. We will also announce all of our corporate sponsors at the 5^th Annual Run for Fundz.  Plew Blue level sponsors, designated for donating $500 or more will additionally have their logos added to a Run for Fundz t-shirt. For planning purposes we ask for your sponsorship pledge by September 11, 2015.
