Halloween Spooktacular

Creep on over to the Mattie Kelly Arts Center to listen and experience our premier Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra perform Halloween Classics.
 
Dress in costume as there will be a contest that evening!
 
The evening performance of Halloween Spooktacular opens with the incredible local soprano, Laura Hernandez accompanied by the orchestra in the performance of Wild Swans Suite, which is based on Hans Christian Andersen’s tale of a princess working to break the spell her wicked-witch stepmother cast upon her brothers. 
 
Our orchestra performs Symphonie fantastique  the second half of the evening performance.  This epic symphony tells the story of an artist's self-destructive passion for a beautiful woman. The symphony describes his obsession and dreams, tantrums and moments of tenderness, and visions of suicide and murder, ecstasy and despair.
